Targets

Collect stars (difficulty and terrain), by sending your travelbug to caches in the neighbour countries of Austria. Stars will be awarded for extra challenges too.

 

Rules

(1)Preconditions for participation
(a) Every device that is trackable on www.geocaching.com can participate in the race. The TB must "wear" the official Racetag.
(b) The online travelbug description must contain the official text.
(c) Every owner can send one travelbug to join the race.
(d) Joining the race during the runtime is possible.
(2) Movements
(a) To collect the stars the TB has to be placed in a cache physically. To grab a TB from another geocacher is not allowed.
(b) Only caches from www.geocaching.com in Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein are allowed.
(c) The TB owner must not move the TB himself except dropping it into the first cache.
(d) The TB can be moved more than once by the same geocacher assumed that two other cachers moved the TB in-between.
(e) If the TB is stuck for 1 month the race management can allow to take illegal action to save the TB.
(f) Sending the TB by mail is forbidden.
(3) Points
(a) The TB collects the difficulty and terrain stars of the cache he has been placed in. Only one visit of a cache counts.
(c) The winner is the TB who collects the most points.
(d) Visiting capitals and completing special missions targets have to be reported by posting the "special points form" as log on your TB website.
(e) Violation of the rules leads to canceling the points of the move that caused the violation.
(f) Subject to change without prior notice

 

Stars

What stars can you earn:
  • Stars of the visited caches
  • 80 stars per visited capital (Berlin, Prag, Bratislava, Budapest, Ljubljana, Rom, Bern, Vaduz)
  • 40 stars per visited country
  • 120 stars for completing th whole "orbit"
  • 80 additional stars for an orbit that was performed strictly in one direction (e.g.: DE-CZ-SK-HU-SL-IT-CH-FL-DE or the other way round.)
  • Stars for special missions which will be announced during the race.

    TB equipment

    What does your TB need to join the race:
    (1) It has to be trackable on www.geocaching.com.
    (2) It has to have the following HTML Code on it's webpage

    (3) The TB has to carry the official Racetag. Print it, laminate it and attach it to the TB.
